Resources: TPS Direct
This summer, the Library of Congress launched TPS Direct from the newly designed Teacher’s Page. Thus far, there are six interactive, self- directed online modules that provide instruction on the following topic areas:
- What is a Primary Source?
- Introduction to LOC.gov
- American Memory
- LOC.gov resources for kids
- LOC.gov resources for teachers
- Analyzing Primary Sources
- Analyzing and working with Photos and Prints
- Using images in the classroom
- Analyzing maps
If you feel like your skills have gotten rusty since your last TPS workshop, going through these modules may help to sharpen your primary source skill set. To find the modules, go to: http://www.loc.gov/teachers/professionaldevelopment/tpsdirect/selfdirected/
