Teach and Reflect Seminars

7/26/10 - Welcome to the orientation session for TPS Teach and Reflect Seminar. After the whirlwind experience of our three days together in June, we’re planning to slow down the pace today and into the fall – to give you an opportunity to think, reflect, and gain some good insights from each other as you create and teach your lessons.

 

Today you’ll be interacting with your facilitators – Anne Bell and Erin Hunt –and with each other face to face, as well as a bit of virtual interaction with other teachers in southern Illinois. (The virtual part is a pilot, so please bring your curiosity, enthusiasm, and good humor to the process with Adobe Connect.)

 

You’ll have opportunities today to reflect on the Summer Institute, the activities you created and how you want to develop your lessons for fall. We’ll provide you an overview of the schedule for the continuing online portion of the seminar and introduce you to the online tools that we’ll be using for the Fall Teach and Reflect seminar online .

 

Each week (by Tuesday morning) we’ll post a new announcement in this space and direct you to resources, lesson plans that you are sharing, and the discussion board. After today, you will next log in and join the group August 24.
