Advanced Application workshops and associated projects provide opportunities for participants to extend their knowledge beyond the overview gained in the Essentials Exploration.

New Advanced workshops will be added each year, focused on:

• Digging deeper to explore additional treasures on the Library of Congress website
• Examining content-focused resources and strategies , and
• Creating lesson plans that engage students in investigation of LOC primary sources

Optional Graduate Credit

Participants completing Advanced Applications workshops can receive graduate credit through UNC at a cost of $55 per credit. To receive credit, participants must attend and satisfactorily complete the workshop. The grade is recorded as S/U on the student's transcript.
