For K-12 teachers, teachers in UNC grad school programs, school librarians
Pre-requisite – TPS Essentials Exploration
How have Americans viewed their life and their world throughout history? How have Americans documented their impressions of each other? Help your students explore these questions and find ways to bring the Library of Congress’ rich resources into your classrooms to help answer them, while supporting literacy and content knowledge in the process. If you’ve completed the Teaching with Primary Sources Essentials Exploration, you know you’ve just peeked inside the treasure chest of rich resources on the Library of Congress website. In this workshop, explore your choice of various ethnic collections, women’s historical perspectives, ingenuity through inventors, or American voices in response to wars and threats.
