These seven participants developed a primary source-based lesson plan integrating content from the Summer Institute; these lessons will be the basis for their Level Two seminar experience. There are two unique features of this first group of TPS Level Two participants. This cohort group will interact entirely online using UNC’s Blackboard Learning Management System. We will be using various features of this system to support collaboration among the cohort members. In addition, these participants will be earning special rewards for their participation in this inaugural Level Two workshop. Upon completion of the fall workshop, they will select either an Interwrite pad, a revolutionary interactive wireless pad much like a Prometheon or Smartboard, or they can select an LCD projector. Either of these rewards will allow them to extend the use of digital primary resources in the classroom. As participants implement their lessons with students, they will share their insights with their peers through reflection and feedback. The final component will be a revision of their lesson for possible inclusion in the Library of Congress field testing database.
